PM Neighborhood Chat

Came home from work on Friday (4/24) and noticed my grill was stolen from my back deck. My next door neighbor observed an older model (early 80's) Chevy Silverado pickup (dark blue), backup into my driveway and drive off on Matheson towards Country Club at approx. 10:00 AM. He didn't call police because he recognized the two guys in the truck (I had hired them to do some yardwork a few weeks back). The driver is Randy Pressley. He had been arrested numerous times and his mugshot is listed below. His running buddy is a W/M approx 55 years old, 5"10, 150 lbs with mustache, beard and tatoos. They both live behind Giant Penny off The Plaza. They drive around the neighborhood doing odd jobs (and stealing). They have stopped by a few times in the past trying to sell "extra ladders, hanging planters, and wheel barrels" (which are probably stolen).

Everyone PLEASE BE CAREFUL hiring people off the streets.  This is not the first case likes this, I wish would be the last but I doubt it.

Rob, my guys jumped right on this information from the blog and we located the suspect at his home. He has admitted to stealing and selling the grill to an unknown person on the West side of Charlotte for $70.00. He also stated that he was hired to do some work at this house and that is why he came back and committed the crime. At this time we are unable to locate a police report so the suspect has not arrested and our investigation is continuing.

 Please encourage residents of the PMN and Beverly Hills community to be very cautious when hiring unlicensed contractors and to always communicate with us so others are not victims of similar thefts. In most cases the suspects do not commit the crimes at the houses that work at but target the neighbors because they become familiar with the properties.
