Two of my neighbors cars (boyfriend/girlfriend) were broken into at
around 11:30pm last night in the parking lot of central 27 condos near
the corner of plaza/central. This was done in about a 5 minute span
while they were upstairs moving groceries and coming back down to
retrieve more things from the car. They both had doors locked. We think
the thief chose their vehicles because they have GPS mounts in view and
they still had some bags left from shopping.
Just a heads up for people in the area that they need to take extra
care of their stuff. There was a suspicious vehicle sitting in the
parking lot of the library so we called in the vehicle and police were
on scene within 5 minutes questioning the driver, but we assume it was
cleared as all cars had cleared the area fairly quickly.
