There is a man, black male, that has walked down Cochran Place twice, veyr slowly, in the last thirty minutes. He is now standing at the corner of Cochran and Thurmond.

White baggy shirt, jeans, white hat, about 5'10".

Police are going to check it out.

The police checked it out and it was nothing. The man lives in the neighborhood and was waiting for a ride.

I hope I did not cause any problems. I was just trying to help and be vigilant.

What you did is great.  You felt it was suspicious behavior, you did not recognize the person,  you called 911, the police checked it out, and the man is on his way.  Him and your neighbors should be glad you noticed, and now you know someone new on your block.  It could have just as easy been someone looking to take advantage.  It is unfortunate that we now have to be suspicious of everyone, even our neighbors sometime, but that is the time we live in.
