: Also as a caveat, we have really been BURNED badly in this respect by Jeff Reid, aka Vista Verde, aka Stalk. Jeff did yardwork for us for several years and was always fairly unpredictable, but generally worth it -- for awhile. However, his reliability deteriorated and his rates went up ridiculously in the past couple of years. A year ago, we foolishly gave him a large sum of money in advance to do some major work. Over the past year, he's shown up occasionally, extremely apologetic, and does a few hours work. I figure he's worked off maybe a third to a half of the money we gave him. I do not know this for a fact, but I believe has a drug problem and warn anyone against using him.
