I can't promise that there are not narrow minded people in Plaza Midwood. I suspect we have as many as any other neighborhood. But my experience has been that PM is a fairly welcoming neighborhood regardless of color. It is not as diverse as you would find in other more cosmopolitan cities. (I came from LA which was dramatically different.) However the neighborhood is getting more mixed in many ways and I'm not hearing complaints about that from my neighbors.
So the short answer to your question is mostly good people live here. If a racially motivated crime happened in PM I am confident that most of the residents would be embarassed and angry.
