Locally-owned restaurants give diners the choice of everything from Southern homestyle cooking to authentic ethnic cuisine.

The predominant residential neighborhood of this area, Midwood, takes pride in its historic roots. Many of the bungalow-style homes have been restored to their turn-of-the-century charm and beauty. Pedestrian-friendly streets and sidewalks are shaded by crepe myrtles and ancient pin oaks, and lined by front-yard gardens. Annually the neighborhood celebrates and welcomes visitors to Midwood Maynia festival held in Midwood Park.
